In this paper, we carried out field observation\nin northern Hokkaido. Frazil particle size has two peaks, namely, high frequency size\n(0.46mm) and average size (2.45mm). Relationship between frazil transport capacity and dimensionless flow strength\nwas investigated in an ice-covered river in Japan. Much frazil capacity has transported, because frazil particle size is\nsmall compared with previous research. Relationship between frazil particle size and 2nd power of shear velocity was\nexamined.
