When they were given 24 h of reaction time, the length and aspect ratio of the nanorods reached ∼2.6 μm and ∼54, respectively. The pH value of the solution changed during the whole process, and on reaching a pH value ∼8.1 after 36 h, the nanorods exhibited very stable size dimensions. The most effective growth time to yield nanorods with high aspect ratios was determined to be 24 h.
