内容記述 The present condition of streets in the area of Kitami City −which has a population of about eighty three thousand and is the core city of Abashiri District-, is not so congested with traffic as compared with the situation in other large cities.   Because of the steady progress of motorization,however,the future generated traffic volume in this city area −which l divided into thirty zones一,will increase about 2.5 times in 1980 compared with the situation in 1968 and about 3.5 times in 1990. So,inter-urban trips of the distributed traffic volume deduced from this generated traffic volume will grow 45%in 1980 and 55% in 1990 compared with all trips,while trips between the central area and urban areas maintained a superior position in 1968 of about 44%compared with all trips.
