| 内容記述 | The Jurassic and Tertiary mountains in the vicinity of Kitami are bounded by volcanic detritals and their secondary sediments. The former， a product of some 29,000 or 30,000 years old Akan caldera， was washed out in mud-flow， on the occasion of rapid recession of the snow-line in the AIlerod time， about 11,000 or 12,000 years ago. Using such geological phenomena as a time-scale，the eroded topography was successively restored graphically. The secondary sediments show 0.6 cm per year erosion since their original topography was formed. The histories of stream piracy and shoreline are also shown by the restoration processes. The graphical restoration method is to be useful as a tool for investigation to resolve the Pleistocene and later geomorphological problems. | |||||
