This paper presents a technique for extending the variable frequency range of VCO, by using negative capacitance circuit to cancel out the parasitic capacitance and a capacitor. The negative capaciance is realized by using an negative impedance converter(NIC). Frequency limit of the proposed negative capacitance is analized theoretically.
