We have actually constructed the ditch and made various measurements, such as soil temperatures and ditch displacement, over two years. From the results, we have confirmed that the berm ditch developed in this research is not damaged by frost heave since it is able to follow the frost heave and thaw settlement of the ground. In addition, we have conducted a simple transmissivity test and found that the material maintains its water transmissivity performance after two
