The sample size calculation using the confidence interval depends\non the estimated statistic of unbiased variance (UV). In this study, a driving simulator experiment was conducted to\nestimate the UV for the pavement ride quality ratings. According to the experimental results, we developed a figure\nfor the sample size determination based on the width of 95% confidence interval.
