The molten slag was combined with common coarse aggregates in different proportions in concrete specimens. The tests conducted include; strength, modulus of elasticity, drying shrinkage (aggregates and concrete), freezing and thawing, tension softening and fracture energy. The results of these tests were compared with concrete specimens studied in previous years. It was found uniformity through the years and a higher performance of the specimens containing molten slag.
