An automatic warehouse system should be fully demonstrated by every function and capability required for each compornent. Computer aided simulation is essential to calculate the capacity of an automated storage and retrieval system. Simulation of automated storage and retrieval system produces the most suitable combination of traveling and hoisting speed and acceleration characteristics. Simulation methods used until now have many impractical factors. For instance, they simplified the important factors for calculating the system's capability, and took a long time to reveal accurate results. In this study, main purpose is to design a practical simulation program which is enable to simulate the optimum conditions of an automated warehouse system by stacker crane.
