Analysis of the product distribution in the transient response method clearly shows that the intermediates consist of at least three different species : silver acetate form, acetaldehyde form and alcohol form. The TPR technique newly proposes two additional different species (designated In-α and In-β), in addition to the three species from the transient response method. Both species react with O_2 to produce CO_2 and H_2O, whereas they do not react with H_2. In the TPR spectra in the O_2 stream, In-α and In-β give peaks at 115℃ and 150℃, respectively,indicating different reactivity.}, pages = {61--73}, title = {Temperature Programmed Reaction Analysis of the Surface Intermediates Formed on Silver in the Oxidation of Acetaldehyde*}, volume = {17}, year = {1985} }
