This method, of course, can be used ordinarily, ,moreover during a shortage of available low pollution fuel. We have found that in the USA this low pollution fuel became extremely expensive and supplies became uncertain in about 1965. Futher-more we can use this method when the nitrogen oxides removal systems require much time for their design, construction and testing before they can be brought online.
