Experimental conditions of carbonization were as follows, temperature : 400?600℃, pressure : 3 mmHg, 50 mmHg, 190 mmHg and 1 atm, respectively.   These coal chars were activated by steam, and some characters of chars and activated carbons were measured.  As the results of the examination, it was found that the specific surface areas of chars were larger and the reactivity of chars against steam were better with the decrease of pressure. The properties of activated carbons produced from the carbonized chars under lower pressure as compared with atomospheric pressure were as follows, the reaction periods at maximum value of specific surface area were less, the yields of activated carbons per amount of raw coal at that value were increased, and the maximum values of speci6c surface area were slightly larger.}, pages = {213--219}, title = {石炭を原料とする活性炭の製造 : 減圧下の炭化の影響}, volume = {8}, year = {1977} }
