As the three factors in the three-way classification\uff0cturbidity of kaolinite suspension\uff0ccoagulant\u3000dosage and added volume of 0.1N-NaOH solution were selected\uff0cand then experiments were performed in 1-liter beaker\uff0c using the 6-series jar tester.  From\u3000the\u3000analyses of variance\u3000of\u3000the\u3000experimental\u3000values\uff0cthe author obtained two orthogonal polynomials on the bulk volume of floc particles\uff0cwhich contained the significant main effects and two-factor interactions and showed to conform to the data of the experiments.
