@article{oai:kitami-it.repo.nii.ac.jp:00006275, author = {品田, 雄治}, issue = {1}, journal = {北見工業大学研究報告}, month = {Nov}, note = {application/pdf, This paper treats the diagonalization of image immittance matrices of the Rat Race circuit and its modifications. lf the Rat Racecircuit or any of its modifications is terminated by the immittances given by the diagonalized image immittance matrices, a perfect matching and a perfect isolation will be attained at the ports and between the ports of the circuit,at a particular frequency or frequencies ; and the frequency character of the performance of the circuit win be maximally flat or of a double-humped character. A certain number of arbitrary conditions such as the smoothness of three sides of the loop of the circuit,or the condition of equal power split may be introduced. As a result of image termination, the performance can be broadbanded to a considerable extent, as is described in the text. Another advantage is the flatness of the output phase-difference character. The only disadvantage of the diagonalized image immittance termination is the inequality of terminating immittances. But this disadvantage can be avoided by adopting larger sizes for the Rat Race circuit.
