Such defects can be avoided by means of susceptance compensation or reactance compensation.　A practical method of　susceptance compensation can be realized in the form of shunt inductive susceptance，connected to each port of less self admittance. Another method will be by reactance compensation with series capacitance.  There are other methods of broadbanding， e･g. by making the image immittance diagonany and by selecting the terminating immittance in accordance with the image immittance.
