note = {application/pdf, Ｉn this paper an equilateral triangular plate clamped at an edges with a uniformｌy distributed load is given its solution by the energy method and the finite difference method as weｌｌ. vertical deflections and bending stresses were evaluated in the loading test of the plate，such experimental data having been as yet very little presented about the bending of plates as a whole. The foｌｌowing results were obtained. 1.The maximum deｆｌection by the finite difference method using an equilateral triangular net of the node distance equal to 1/12 of a side length，is larger than that by the energy method by about 20％，which will diminish for the ｆiner net upon which an eleｃtron computer wiｌｌ be preferred to work. 2. Up to the deflection of about 80％ of the thickness of the plate，the smaｌｌdeflection theory of plates is considered to be applicable，as within this range deflections and stresses by experiment coincide fairly well with those by the theoretical analysis.},
