The conditions of reaction were as follows. The BF_3/H_2S0_4,mol. ratios were 0.067, 0.134, 0.160, 0.186, 0.210, and 0.235 respectively, the experiments were treated at the reaction time of 10?360 min. and at the temp. of 20?150℃. The ion exchange capacity of sulfonation products was measured by 0.2 N CaCl_2 solution. The results of the above researchs were as follows. The best condition of reaction was shown in the case where BF_3/H_2S0_4 mol. Ratio was 0.134, reaction temp. was 100℃ and that reaction time was 90 min.
