| 内容記述 | Mr.R.P. Dore’s work “Land Reform in Japan” deals with pre-war Jlapanese land tenancy system, resulted in poverty of her agrarian people. He points out that the question of how and by whom the land is owned, can be a decisive determinent of the social structure and of the political stability. Moreover, he continues to examine positively, that the failure of attempts at land reform was a cause of agrarian unrest in Japanese domestic policies, and of the rise of totalitarianism accompanied by expansion abroad in foreign policies. His study is suggestive to understand, that agrarian unrest expressed in outbursts of desperate violence, has provided for the social energy leading to a nationalist movement in South Asia resently. In this paper, I may introduce Mr. Dore’s theme and consider it from some different standpoints. | |||||
