内容記述タイプ Abstract
内容記述 Japan and France are the main powers representing the regions of Asia and Europe. In the era of World War II, the two countries experienced the tragedy of conflict, but after the war, Japan cooperated with France as a democratic nation, based on the principles of freedom and human rights and as a member of the G7. Even in the 1960s, trade barriers were removed between the two countries, guaranteeing free mutual trade. In the 21st century, there has been active trade between Japan and France, with imports and exports of industrial products, increase in agricultural products and retail goods, and flourishing of direct investments. With the rise of emerging countries, it is undeniable that the international influence of Japan and France has declined in the 21st century. The recent spread of authoritarian states further emphasizes the unity of the democratic camps more than ever. In this context, this thesis examines the evolution of economic relations between Japan and France in recent years. The establishment of “win-win relationships” in trade and investment would promote the deepening of bilateral ties and provide examples of success for third-world countries. As a result of this, nuclear cooperation between Japan and France and EPA negotiations between Japan and EU have developed. Such cooperation should strengthen political relations between the two countries and would be effective in advancing democratic systems and free trade economies on a global scale.
