The dependence of the reactivity of OH on the surface or in the bulk of MgO on the chemical and physical properties of the material was studied, with emphasis on the three parameters ; (1) Solidification of MgO particles (2) Properties of adsorption of CO and CO_2 (3) Change in the Mechanism of a Catalytic reaction Furthermore,the effect of doping Potassium onto MgO surface on its properties was investigated by observing the behavior of adsorption and desorption of CO, CO_2 and OH.
