          <datacite:description xml:lang="en" descriptionType="Abstract">A solution in the general form for cylindrically orthotropic solids with body forces is presented. Three displacement components are expressed by three potential functions. The decoupling of the displacement equilibrium equations expressed by the three potential functions, i.e., the governing equations of the potential functions is discussed. The governing equations of the potential functions obtained as the result are a system of partial differential equations with two unknowns. They are decoupled by means of three relations to nine independent elastic constants.</datacite:description>
