          <datacite:description xml:lang="en" descriptionType="Abstract">By applying the image immittance theory to the (2,2)-port，the characteristics of the Rat Race circuit becomes broadband near the center frequency of the transmission. In the preceding paper， several ways were shown to diagonalize the matrix of the image immittance of the Rat Race　circuit　at　the　center　frequency，but　drastic　broadband characteristics were not attained. If terminal immittances of reverse-phase hybrid rings such as the Rat Race　circuit are matched to the image immittances at certain frequencies，the isolation and phase relations between two output voltages as well as the matching are perfect at these frequencies. This principle is induced and applied to the Rat Race　circuit，and then double humped characteristics of the Rat Race circuit are attained， so that the characteristics become greatly broadband.</datacite:description>
